Autumn is in the air as students composed haiku poems celebrating the season and relating to our recently completed story, "Hot and Bamboo Shoots"

Let the campaign begin!  Students have completed their essays highlighting their personal attributes and why they would be the perfect class president.  This was our first persuasive essay of the year, and they are quite convincing.  May the best candidate win!

The geologists in all of us are coming out as we begin our rocks and minerals unit.  Students will discover the differences between the various types of rock formations, distinguish similarities among the minerals, and investigate how we use minerals in our everyday lives.

Congratulations to those students who met the goals for the fundraiser.  Many students enjoyed some free time in the gym on inflatables and then made their way to Pizza Hut via limousine.  What a great way to begin the week!
